Wood Preservatives.

Once you have had your log house constructed you will need to treat the exterior and interior logs, it is best to use a good quality wood preservative. By using a natural oil based preservative which allows the wood to breath and maintain its elasticity is the best way to treat your wood. Each of the interior and exterior oil based preservative have different quality’s and they come in a large selection of colors which are hard wearing and very long lasting. by using a natural oil based exterior preservative it is unlikely you will have to read treat your logs for probably 4 to 5 years, where as using a water-based or spirit based product you will probably need to retreating your log house every two years. When using any wood preservative you need to make sure it has the ingredients to not only color the timber but to preserve it.
