Planning permission and building regulations

Every log house that is used for residential purposes must comply to UK planning and building regulations.

First off Planning permission allows you to carry out the building of your new home only after you have obtained approval, where as Building regulations approval is a safeguard which means that any work which is carried out must be done in a structurally safe manner in accordance with all building regulations force.

When ever planning a new home even a log home it is advised to approach your local planning office and inquire if you will need planning permission to go ahead with the development of your new log house.
